EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED:

BSN degree required. MSN or Masters in healthcare related field preferred
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED OR PREFERRED:

3 to 5 years related experience. Acute care or specialty nursing experience as appropriate.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:

Demonstrated success and abilities in leadership, achieving results, communications, customer service and health care management.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

Qualifications

Current Florida license as a RN

Current certification as a BLS Healthcare Provider

Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing

1+ Years of experience as a RN in an Acute Care setting preferred / LTAC
Customer service abilities including effective listening skills. Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment. Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds.

· Reads and writes Basic English with the basic skills necessary to transcribe physician’s orders

Director of Trauma Burn Unit
Reporting to the CNO, this individual will direct and manage the operations and activities of the Critical Care Units.

Manage department operations to achieve quality improvement, fiscal productivity and patient satisfaction goals/objectives

Supervise staff including performance and departmental accomplishments to meet facility and regulatory requirements
-
Promote teamwork with physicians and all health care providers
-
Act as a liaison with patients and their representatives, physicians and employees to ensure high-quality patient care

Manage unit supplies and equipment to maximize productivity and minimize costs.
Qualifications

Current Florida RN Licensure or
-
Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions)

BSN required, Master’s preferred

BCLS, ACLS certifications required CCRN preferred

5+ years nursing experience in an acute care setting
