Data Science Analyst - Temp Job

Seeking an experienced Operations Research (OR) Analyst to support extensive high visibility Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) efforts. 

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • As this Operations Research (OR) Analyst, you could expect to: Lead a study team to answer key analysis questions on new and existing technologies.

  • Collaborate with Principal Investigators and customer stakeholders to identify study requirements and develop relevant technical approaches.

  • Manage and contribute to the development and execution of MS&A study plans. Collaborate with subject matter experts, such as airmen and technologists, to identify requirements for system implementation in models and simulations.

  • Coordinate with team members to contribute to the execution of the analysis of studies, analyze results, and prepare and present study findings. Ensure application of MS&A best practices for all analysis efforts.

  • Some intermittent short-term travel may be required.

Hadoop Data Engineer to join our growing team of analytics experts. The contractor will be responsible for building and optimizing our data and data pipeline architecture, as well as optimizing data flow and collection for cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate is an experienced data pipeline builder. The Hadoop Data Engineer will support our software developers and database architect's initiatives and will ensure optimal data delivery architecture is consistent throughout ongoing projects. They must be self-directed and comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, systems, and products

This role will start working remotely but after COVID restrictions are lifted, the goal is to have this person onsite in Hartford, CT. This is a temp-perm opportunity

Fundamental Components:

Deploys data-driven exploratory analysis as well as predictive models to solve business problems across the financial services industry, particularly in the area of Originations, Risk and Fraud, Digital engagement, Payments, and Customer Management. Designs and analyzes experiments to test new product ideas and convert the results into actionable product recommendations. Leads Analytics Model development, validation, and maintenance. Assists with data collection, cleaning, visualization, model building, training, testing, and presentations to build analytics capability and drive efficiencies 

 

 

Job Specific Experience Required/Preferred for the Role

  • Masters degree or higher in mathematics or economics. At least five years of employment experience past a master's in data science or another analytics field. 

  • Prior experience deploying models in production. Preferably skill sets in Kubeflow or another distributed ecosystem deployment system for machine learning. 

  • Prior experience working for one of the following:

    • Experience with at least working knowledge on one of the following products (ACE/ADM, Determinator, Cardguard, TRIAD/PowerCurve) OR

    • Cardboard, focusing on issuing specific capabilities OR issuing products

    • Prior experience working for one of the big 4 or another management consulting firm, again with an emphasis on credit card issuing

  • Preferably located in Atlanta, but open to remote east coast candidates. 

  • Either a patent or speaking roles at major data science conferences (Open Data Science conference, etc.) is a huge plus
